We are centrally
located and easily accessible from several major cities. And no, that's not a giant golf course. It's the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Come to visit us and get a taste of life on the Plateau
The Highlands-Cashiers Plateau is a very special
place at the southern crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering
spectacular mountain views, sparkling lakes and waterfalls, lush
woodlands and truly sublime weather. With tall, steep sides
encircled by national forest, the Plateau sits high above the
surrounding areas of western North Carolina. Cashiers, Highlands,
Sapphire, Lake Glenville and Lake Toxaway are all located on the
Plateau, at 3,000 to over 5,000 feet above sea level, in Jackson,
Transylvania and Macon counties.
Altitude isn't the only thing that distinguishes
the Plateau from its neighbors. As if the stunning natural
scenery and crisp mountain air weren't enough, the
Highlands-Cashiers area also offers sophisticated dining and
shopping, several championship golf courses, superb country clubs
and of course, fine mountain and lakefront homes.
And then there are the magic ingredients that make
our corner of the world so extraordinary — the warmth of friendly
people, the seemingly slower passage of time, and the uncanny
ability of our smoky blue mountains to make you feel like you're a
world away from the stresses of daily life. It won't take long for you to see why people,
including those who can live just about anywhere they please,
consider the Highlands-Cashiers area to be a slice of heaven right
here on earth. Once you're here, you won't want
to leave.
Our office is conveniently located in the heart of
Cashiers, just west of the Crossroads,
which is the intersection of Highway 64 and Highway 107. For more information, please contact us
or get detailed driving
directions to our location. We look forward to meeting you!

Summer temperatures in the mountains ... what you need to know
before you buy
Are you considering a western North Carolina mountain home to escape the
summer heat? If so, there are certain things you need to know before
making a purchase.
Many people are under the impression that just being in the
mountains is enough to ensure cool summers. Not so! In general,
one needs to be at least 3,000 feet above sea level for summer temps
to rarely go over 80 degrees. Luckily, the
Highlands-Cashiers Plateau ranges from 3,000 to over 5,000 feet
above sea level, so we are quite comfortable in the summertime. Our
incredible weather is one reason why so many people dream of living
here.

temperatures in the Highlands-Cashiers area compare to other
