Julia's distinctive approach stems from a family legacy that includes connections to American icon Norman Rockwell, who painted her grandfather in his works. Her grandmother's estate featured gardens designed by Calvert Vaux before he codesigned Central Park. The branches of her family tree are shared by naval admirals, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Field, and communications pioneer Cyrus Field (inventor of the Atlantic Cable).

This legacy of creativity and vision continues in Julia's own accomplishments. After earning a fine arts degree, she transformed Delta Grind into a thriving artisanal grits company featured in Garden & Gun and Southern Living. Her work with Banner & Associates LLC, the construction and design firm she founded with her husband Mac gives her unparalleled insights into home construction and renovation possibilities.
