Mike and I had been looking for a second home for many years, never finding the right location or Realtor. We had never heard of Cashiers or the plateau but made a brief stop to see the waterfalls. Julia Banner was our real estate agent and we could not have been more pleased with her professionalism & kindness. Buying a home in another state is tricky. It was something new to us and it would not have been such a great experience had she not gone above and beyond for us in every way. From helping us to understand the fine legal details, being there to answer questions when we needed & even getting our 26-foot Uhaul truck up our driveway when we could not, was invaluable! We recently sold our summer home in the Cullasaja Club in Highlands and our Realtor was Eddy. We first met Eddy because we decided we would rent it out when the family wasn't using it, but as summers got busier and our children got older we realized it was time to sell. We were so impressed with him as a rental agent that there was no question when it was time to list. He was very efficient, always looked after our rental as if it were his own and kept us notified of any concerns since we live full-time in Florida. As a Realtor for over 20 years dealing mostly in high-end and waterfront properties, I knew what I would want and expect in a realtor. Eddy surpassed those expectations and gave us the experience of selling our house that all sellers should have. If we ever buy again in the Highlands-cashiers area, he will be our first call!

Debby worked with my partner and me on a development we have in Sylva, North Carolina. We had just started the first phase of this unique project and knew we needed help with the design.
Debby decorated the first building and then moved on to the lodge which was laying in a pile on our property. She worked with the engineer, builder and I to get the antique barn we were reconstructing on paper and then she laid out the floor plan to include an addition. Our 5 bedroom, 3-story barn lodge is now a showpiece, thanks in part to Debby’s creativity. We get compliments on the Lodge every time we show it. It is warm, inviting, unique and beautiful.
In the 2 ½ years it took to complete this project, Debby worked with a team of builders, trades, and suppliers on a weekly basis overseeing her part in the design and construction. Her job was not easy. Her communication skill and ability to be flexible without sacrificing the end result was a huge plus for us. She is easy and enjoyable to work with.

We are so lucky that Dan Allen was our realtor, especially in this crazy market! Dan is so patient and never put any pressure on us, even though it took us over a year to find the right house. In fact, he was intuitive enough that when we were debating properties he would tell us "I know we can find a better home for you than this" and spoke with us about his thoughts from an investment/resale perspective down the road as well. He genuinely wanted to help us find the best place, not just make a sale. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate his patience and local knowledge of the market and Cashiers/Sapphire area. We were constantly driving up from Atlanta to look at properties and not only was Dan incredibly accommodating but over time he got to know us well enough to tell us if it was worthwhile for us to make the drive (he was always right!). Cassie Neal was very helpful when I bought my home in 2014. She was very patient as I looked at 20 homes before finding a suitable home to purchase. When my daughter had a baby in 2019, I decided to sell my home at 151 Rhododendron Court in Sapphire NC so I could spend summers in New Jersey to watch my grandson grow up. Cassie was terrific in explaining her successful plan to sell my home. My home went on the market in May and went under contract at a fair price in early August 2020. I was very pleased with how Cassie handled the entire process from May to the final settlement in early October. I highly recommend the professional conscientious services provided by Cassie.

Bambi Famous Kaine is incredible. She told me to list my home with her company Silver Creek in Cashiers, NC, it was this winter, midwinter, she said, "It will sell, Trust me".  I thought she was wrong, but she was the realtor so we put it on the market right away. I did it all online, and IN 2 DAYS it was SOLD. She is very business-minded, clever, diligent and so hard working, when you list your home with Bambi she is not fooling around. She will sell it!! She is good with people too. You are in the best hands possible. A great person and she knows the market.
