The World’s Most Glamorous Fashion House Restaurants
In the world of fashion, the boundaries between style, luxury, and innovation are ever-evolving. From haute couture shows to the artistry of accessories and allure of fine fragrance, the realm of fashion is an endlessly captivating one.
But lately, there’s a trend that’s been adding a new layer of flair to the fashion scene. Fashion houses are not just dressing you up; they’re feeding your soul … and appetite. From Harrods’ Prada Caffè in London to Louis Vuitton Café by Timeo in Sicily, 2023 has been a dazzling year for extravagant new eateries popping up across the globe.
Fashion is no longer confined to runways and wardrobes; it has conquered the realm of gastronomy. These fashion house restaurants are not just places to dine; they are immersive experiences that marry style, luxury, and taste — both literal and metaphorical, of course.
Florence | Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura
A partnership between the iconic Italian fashion house and esteemed chef Massimo Bottura (of Michelin 3-Star Osteria Francescana fame), Gucci Osteria marries the house’s opulent codes with Bottura’s energetic creative vision. It’s haute couture meets haute cuisine in every sense.
Housed in the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia, the historic Florentine maison has created a sensory experience that will inspire your wardrobe and artistic endeavors at The Boutique & Bookstore, your creative knowledge at Gucci Visions, and your culinary palate at Gucci Osteria, where the mesmerizing dining room is a symphony of green shades and is adorned with Gucci everything. Gucci’s logo, floral patterns, and animal prints make covert appearances throughout the space, subtly reminding you that you’re in the house of Gucci.
Pleasingly, the vibe is more upbeat than austere. Dining alongside Florentine fashionistas you’ll enjoy a jovial ambiance, complemented by co-executive chefs, Mexican Karime Lopez and Japanese Takahiko Kondo, an innovative Latin and Japanese take on Italian cuisine.
Choose from the Purple Corn Tostada with Adriatic marinated bonito and a hint of spice and citrus, or the Non dire Cassate spaghetti with pistachio, almond cream, and citron. Then there’s the oh-so Bottura-sounding The Cannolo that wants to become a Cannellone, hand-cut with Chianina’s ragù, ricotta, and cannellini beans.
For a Gucci Osteria greatest hits experience, pick the 9-course tasting menu. And dive into the extensive Italian fine wine list. Once replete, savor a postprandial amble down to the nearby Uffizi Gallery to witness Botticelli’s Birth of Venus in its magnificent glory.

Sicily | Louis Vuitton Café by Timeo
Blame The White Lotus. The hit show put the tiny coastal hilltop town of Taormina on the map, and now the Sicilian enclave is home to the latest of the world-conquering LVMH’s forays into fashion-infused hospitality.
Housed within the first floor of the Louis Vuitton resort boutique is its namesake concept café. Operated in partnership with the swish Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo (just a hop, skip, and a jump away), the Louis Vuitton Café by Timeo aligns the glamor of the Parisian Maison with the hotel’s Mediterranean allure for chic all-day culinary delights. The OG Timeo comes with prestige — literary greats D.H. Lawrence and Truman Capote used to sip their Screwdrivers at the hotel bar.
Once you’ve shopped the current LV By the Pool collection in store, it’s time to pop over to the café for a bite. Dine al fresco shrouded by greenery and the comfort of monogrammed LV cushions, or in the Italianate, tiled dining room overlooking the cerulean sea.
Choose from Chef Robert Toro’s tiny croissants and chocolate desserts presented in the style of Louis Vuitton’s floral motif, or classic Sicilian bites like arancini. Naturally, everything is served on LV plates and is best accompanied with the café’s signature Taormina Spritz.

London | Prada Caffè Harrods
You’re in Knightsbridge but it feels more like Milan at the Prada Caffè. Open until the end of 2023, Prada’s chic pop-up in London’s iconic Harrods whisks you back to its earliest boutique, opened at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in 1913. Rows of perfectly-primped puff pastries wait temptingly behind the marble counter as you settle into a velvet chair and admire the pistachio-hued interior and splendid chequerboard floor.
Open all day for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, Prada Caffè presents Italian-inspired light bites. For a stylish pitstop between shopping Harrods’ new collections, call in for eggs Florentine, fresh fruit tartlets, and dainty pizzettas. Confections are courtesy of top Parisian pastry chef, Angelo Musa, and served atop powder-blue, Prada-emblazoned Japanese porcelain.
Lunches are of the continental variety, best spent at a relaxed pace lingering over burrata and tomato salad and seared beef carpaccio. Beware: one too many Tuscan Blossom gin-infused cocktails and you may find yourself splurging on a Prada Galleria handbag (or two) afterwards.
For a fashion-themed, after-dark dining experience, the Prada Caffè is a chic dinner destination too. Here you can savor more substantial dishes like roasted sea bass or veal Milanese, all complemented by an Aperol spritz or Chianti Classico.

Dubai | Vanitas
Glitzy Dubai and the high-octane pizazz of Versace are a match made in heaven. Enter Vanitas. Occupying the lavish Palazzo Versace hotel, this restaurant is a refined expression of the house’s over-the-top exuberance.
With a neo-Renaissance setting straight out of a Versace daydream and a menu that reads like poetry, it’s a culinary gem that invites you to revel in the art of indulgence. Picture the scene: grand chandeliers, Greco-Roman columns, and murals of ancient ruins that appear straight out of the Borghese Gallery, all set beside the beautiful waters of Dubai Creek.
Italian though-and-through, courses are presented in classic antipasti, primi, and secondi style and plated on baroque Versace porcelain. With Chef De Cuisine Luca Crostelli at the helm, the menu is an ode to Italy’s culinary heritage, infused with a dash of modern flair. Whet your appetite with seared octopus before moving on to unctuous truffle risotto, then roasted lamb loin. Save room for the signature Vanitas tiramisu, a rich entanglement of mascarpone cream and coffee.
Vanitas offers an attractive cocktail list as well as a well-curated selection of international wines. The best way to complete your evening at Vanitas? Take a romantic dhow cruise along shimmering Dubai Creek.
